Looking back at all my adult years, there has been a pattern. A clean, neat, pattern of honesty and a genuine nice attitude toward people. I like helping and doing things for others. There is no reward, but the reward I feel at the end of the day.
These last two months, I really feel that my life has taken a back seat to greed, selfishness, and a genuine disrespect for me and my jovial attitude. I'm constantly asking the question now...should I continue to be nice at the cost of my own dignity?
The answer is always "no"! No one should ever put you in a corner to be labeled. And, people should never take advantage of you and expect there not to be consequences in return.
I have really put myself out there the last couple of years only to realize that perhaps some of the friends I have may not see me the same way. Should I let it bother me? No! Not unless that person sets you up for a fall that you can't seem to recover from.
So, what should I do? Stand up and fight! I'm going to fight for my right to be me and let the liers, cheaters, secondary assholes, and bullies know what I stand for!
I'm going to lose some friends and make some friends in the process, but the friends I make will be better ones. And, for those that may say, "You seem to take things way too personal.", I say they don't know me well enough to know what personal is. Just know that those new friends will see that I am a great guy that loves to be nice and sweet and loves to support them in whatever they do or whenever I am needed.
